Title: Auto box selector swich removal

I am about to change my auto gearbox selector swich.
Hains says drop the rear of the gearbox. Do i realy have to? If anyone has an easier way, please advise. :-/ :-/ :-/

No mate you don't have to drop the box. Undo nut on selector shaft & remove two 10mm bolts then disconnect multi plug, do this when engine is cold as the switch sits very close to the cat

I changed mine today,did it how Raz said,its a bit awkward but do-able.A 10mm ratchet spanner makes life easier for the bolt towards the front (which isnt visible btw). :y

Thanks chaps. What a relief. Iv'e had a look and i can see the connector and feel the bolts. a bit of a squeeze but i'll do it today.
