Title: Question about rubber seals
Post by: Niallos on 31 August 2009, 19:38:34
Hey guys, I'm new to the forum, and I need to do a few things to my Omega.

The major one is doing the good old cam gasket, bit of bodywork (rust in the usual places) and generally a bloody good service.

However because of the oil leak due to the cam gasket,  when I cleaned out the spark plug wells, I wiped down the ignition leads but the rubber seals on the end that sit over the spark plugs broke due the rubber being perished. D'oh!

Can you buy these or do I have the pleasure of buying a new set of leads?

Any help appreciated!  8-)

No mate you dont need new leads, just nip down to your nearest pound shop and buy a rubber flexi tap connector like i did,job done and still on now. :y

Cheers Mark, didn't think of that. How big do they need to be?

Well my rubber broke off,and left about 3 inches,so i just cut the flexi to fit,and its even got a thinner rubber part inside which actually stretches to fit over where it has to be,spot on. :y
