Title: Door handles
Post by: Ryan Hegarty on 30 August 2009, 16:47:50
Hi all, have the coating coming off the door card handles, is there any type of coating/paint that can be used to renew them.

Thanks M8y's :y

I assume you mean the rubberised finish, on the Facelift.  I did mine gloss black, I like the effect.

Agemo what paint did you use for it?

Actually I didn't have any black paint at the time, so I used black primer, with Laquer on top. It is a pain getting rid of the rubber coating first, but the gloss finish is a lot better, and longer lasting.

Yes it looks a lot better than it did, I was toying with doing them cream. Actually it was my lad that did them, he made a good job of it too. The cream leather came from a . . .Calibra!!! Looks good, feels good, and it's a wipe-clean surface. Did the back doors too of course.
