Hi guys 'n gals
Would appreciate your thoughts on the vibration I have. It comes in about 75-80 mph but lessens when reaching 90. I have had all 4 wheels balanced numerous times, had 4 wheel laser alignment done. I have noticed that recently the gear stick 'flops' fore and aft when going over speed bumps/pot holes, hence making me think the rear g'box mount is nakked - ? - The vibration feels through the car, and is felt through the seat, so i am thinkin maybe change rear g/box mount and front lower wishbones ?? - any other advice or anyone had same prob ?? - cheers peeps - TIA :y :y :y

Worth checking gearbox and engine mounts, but sounds like a balancing issue or ovaled wheels (they can balance OK-ish, but still vibrate badly).
Less likely is out of balance prop shaft

unrelated, but 4 wheel alignment is waste of time on Omega, get a full geometry check done instead

Hi all, my mig did the exact same thing as yours, I have just changed my wishbones and drop links and it has solved the problem, now it runs level and a lot smoother

Full geometry adjusts a lot more than a 4-wheel check... and transforms the handling :y

cheers tim - yea i figured w/bones and d/links so i will change them :y
i have had the geometry checked/adjusted, and i havce put the original 16'' 'ers back on and swapped backs to fronts and it is a lot better but needs the WB's done to acheive best results - thanks for all your input :y (http://i339.photobucket.com/albums/n468/beemerdevil/100_0897.jpg)

Very intersting. I am experiencing the same issue as well. Before i took my car for geometry at Wheels In Motion my car would basically vibrate at speeds greater than 70 mph. After the geometry the car vibrates at between 70 and 80 mph and at speeds greater than 80 it does not vibrate!!
I have a broken rear spring, which i will have replaced asap. I will have all drop links and wishbones checked and if any problem will have them replaced.
Is there anything else causing this? The guys at WIM checked out the whole suspension and did not report any faults 2 months ago.
