Title: T regMOT help. Please!
Post by: baz1701 on 03 September 2009, 19:21:47
I have a 99 T-Reg, that has just been put through it's MOT. It faile don emissions because the engine is running too rich and is giving emisions of around 4.2% instead of 0.3%. Anyone have any ideas how to sort it without it costing a bomb?

My garage are scratching around with sensors to see if anything can be done with it.

Help!

First thing I'd do is stop paying that "garage" who thinks they are going to charge you by the hour while they swap sensors out one by one because they aren't actually equipped to work on your car.

Next move is either do a paperclip test or pay someone here a very small fee to put it on Tech2 and find out what the problem is straight away so you don't waste time & money..

Hello Baz. I would post where you live, I am sure there will be someone near you with a Tech 2.
