Title: Front door locked

Drivers door will not unlock with remote, outside or inside handels,had the car for 5years and have never been able to use the key to lock or unlock the door,
(only ever used the remote)the car is a 2002 2.2 facelift, can any body please help as front door is now locked and i'm not fit to clamber over front seats, any advise would be appreciated.

In these situations you can use your key manually and it WILL turn in the lock, clockwise, but you wmay well have to use considerable pressure and the button may well not come up, although the door will be unlocked!! ;) ;)

thanks Lizzie, i tried key again, but did'nt turn,frightened key will break in lock.

I had this problem last week and through advice from this forum I managed to open the door. Turned the key hard right (really hard) and lifted the handle. The button did not come up but the door opened.
