Title: EGR VALVE ?

Hiya all what is it for? had a missfire on car yesterday done paperclip test got codes 129 131 57 the first two indicate voltage fault at egr would this cause the engine to missfire?

Exhaust gas reciculation valve mate,and does what it says on the tin,it recirculates exhaust gases by burning them off again,and wouldent think it would cause a misfire at all. :y
