Title: can I swap my alternator

will an alternator from a petrol engine work in a diesel? Im sure thats what isnt working and I need one in a hurry, local garage are charging the earth. Unless anyone has one for 2.5 td I do not have enough posts yet to ask on Wanted page :(

Ali post a wanted ad in the test zone, then PM Jimbob or an admin and ask them nicely to move it for you ;)

What a bummer, I was in Chesham this morning and have a spare TD Alternator that I believe is good.

Its still yours if you want it, but collection only, sorry.  I **may** be able to get it to Leagrave end of Luton for tomorrow night if that helps?
