hi all
i have a 98 2.5 v6 auto ,need to replace the haedlights (very cloudy tried every thing ) i have the part numbers
90566798 RH 90566797 LH ,
are they
1\ normal headlights
2\ projector headlights
3\ xenon headlights

if you dont have a headlight beam adjustment switch next to your lightswitch then theyre xenons
thats all i know!

As TMX says, if you don't have the manual leveller switch then they are self levelling HID's. otherwise 98 would be (at a guess) projectors, easiest way to tell is of the lenses are clear then they are projectors, if they have thin lines cast into them they are standard.

The numbers quoted are definately projectors, (just checked mine :y) same part numbers. Also have a set of original headlights (I have a '96 model) and numbers are different.

am on the hunt for a pair ,every time i phone round they want to know what they are etc ( no refunds if not the right ones ) dont want to get the wrong ones

I have clear lens with no lines but i have normal bulbs and yes before you ask they are genuine VX parts.Am revealed at this cause my headlight bulb blow and i thought i would have to see the man from the provident for a loan.

I'll have a set of projectors coming up for sale soon. If you do get another set I would highly recommend collection (unless the seller knows how to pack them properly) as the slightest jolt in transit can shatter the adjusters.

They are standard bulbs in the projectors, it's the HID's that are expensive.

another good way is to have a look at the front of the car and if it has the black washer jets under the headlights chances are you'll have HID's :y

have no washer jets for my headlights :( :(
