Title: Help ENGINE PROBLEM
Post by: rustym95 on 11 September 2009, 12:02:03
Hi I have a 2.0I 16V eco engine, the management light keeps being on I have changed the cam sensor and air flow meter as they tested wrong, now when you disconect the battery then connect it again, start the engine no light 5-10seconds in the light comes on again there was a bit of oil in the sensor on the bottom of the engine behind the oil filter so clean'd that out still no joy, it allso will not go above 4, 1/2 on the revs acting like there is is no fuel getting there and rocks the engine, idles ok there is pressure in the line is ok filters are ok spark plugs and leads ok every thing thing seem ok but there is the fault still can any one help thanks. :-[ :'( [smiley=undecided.gif]

If genuine cam sensor was fitted, check cabling and connection. Wouldn`t hurt to paperclip it again. Symptons appear to be cam sensor related :y

Befor you go and give money out and not sure if it will work get it put on a computer to read the codes,
with your codes that you have read already code 19 is defo cs sensor.
have you tryed replacing it with a new or known to work one?
I would bet you get rid of your problems when you change that.

Hi Hodgy, Ive just had all the sensors tested and thy are all fine bloke said its the ecu stuck in backup mode thats why the codes all come up and repeat, not a common fault its due to a bad code reader wipe, says it best to get a new ECU, but it has to be the same 1 95 year, 98year 1 dont have somthing on it carnt remember what he said any 1 out there have a spare 1 cheap [smiley=rolleyes.gif] [smiley=wink.gif]
