Title: Self levelling suspension advice req'd
Post by: Alldi on 12 September 2009, 23:34:50
The self levelling rear suspension seems to keep jacking itself up. I tested it as per the maintenance guide and although it raises itself ok it fails to drop when the sensor arm is dropped down, it does the same with another sensor I have. Would this indicate that the pump is faulty and is not releasing the air pressure, all help greatly appreciated

Hi Alldi, not a common issue it seems, and if you have the same issue on both sensors then as you say, would point to the pump not releasing air. Seems logical to me anyway.

Would you let us know how you get on?

Hi Chris, I've bitten the bullet an bought a 2nd hand pump off ebay in the hope that this will sort the problem, will keep you posted on what happens ;)

Just to follow up, I replaced the pump with one I bought off ebay and all seems well so far, that car no longer has its arse in the air. Just got to replace the rear springs now as both are broken.
