I got the main stealer here to change my Heater bypass valve and to check the alternator and battery. The alternator and battery was ok they reported, and now they are saying the car wont start. ;D
I bet they have screwed up the electrics when testing the alternator. >:(
The car is still with them.

sounds like they have wipe'd the imoboilser, need to be rest on a tec2 etc.
-
not good news :(

Well stealer has just phoned me back saying that the car needs a new battery. I reckon they dejuiced it, but these A/C Delco batteries are crap, made in Saudi Arabia.

Just to follow on from there, if your battery keeps on dying or leaking and the alternator is OK, is it worth investigating anything else or best to try another battery brand?
-
Assuming the charging voltage is OK (13.8-14.5 v) and it's not overcharging the battery if probably is the battery.
However, for a complete guide to diagnosis, have a look at the following: http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1225724099

Could the failure be heat related?
The battery has a quilted jacket which I assume is fitted to protect it from heat. It gets pretty warm under the bonnet of my car in this country so I dread to think how hot things get in Qatar.

The norm is for batteries to last for 2 summers here. But June to September is a bit short. :(
