Title: mv6 splutter

my brothers 3L mv6 has started to splutter when he puts foot down. he says it does it more when its been raining and only splutters slightly now that its dry.

has anyone experienced similar faults?

Do the paperclip test see if any codes are there,
it could be the cs sensor, the dis pack or niether, as you say its worse when wet then I would go for the dis pack.

As GD says. Suspect dispack. Check seal on scuttle above where the dispack sits. Been known to let rainwater drip down onto dis.

i had a 2.5 elite that done this when warm,rev it up to about 3500rpm see if it slutters,,you should be getting a code 19,,saying crank sensor..change it for a new one ,not 2nd hand one.. :y
