does anyone know where i can buy new buttons to replace some worn ones, also how do you replace bulbs in this panel.
-
i believe its a new climate panel for the buttons :(
-
can never understand why these buttons get so worn out, always the off button, on the ones i've seen anyway. Just set the appropriate temp. and leave it be. Never turn mine off, dont get it.....?

there are some covers you can get from eletrical shop, you put them over the word and it stops the words from wearing away from your fingers, can hardly see them when they are on. :y

Same here, mines almost 10 years old 125k miles and look like new.
Its always left on auto, only things i change are the temp (even that is changed very rarely) and front/rear de-mist in the mornings which is even rarer

i know what you mean about not turning it off etc, but i have just picked this up and the previous owners must have been playing with the buttons everyday they are really worn.
So if you cant replace the actual buttons does anyone have a new one?
-
I'm not sure, but I think I saw some buttons being sold on Ebay a while back... is it the words rubbing off, or the grey underneath? IF it's the grey, how about some sort of plastic paint?
If its the letters, you might be able to get some vinyl transfers made?

your best bet is to get a replacement pannel from a breaker (there are some facelifts being broken now in parts section)
I personally think any paint attempt or anything like that will stand out a mile. Its this soft touch spray on rubber they used, its shite, and its very hard to replicate that look DIY

that scratch resistant stuff is the same stuf Mini f/l softtouch switches have after 10years my MV6s switches looked very tacky due to that scratch proof stuff
-
Second hand unit from a breakers is the best bet. The unit is easily taken apart. :y

Sorry, that was a general rant, and not directly aimed at anyone in particular. Yes as said, breakers would be best bet. Try an add in parts section on here, if you dont have enough posts post add in test zone and maybe Jimbob will move it over for you. :-)
