Title: Any idea what type calliper I have?
Post by: SteveD on 06 October 2009, 11:13:16
Me being lazy here....

I'm lead to believe my V reg facelift 3.0 Elite Estate could have either Lucas or some other make(can't remember at the mo.) of calliper on the front.

Does anybody know for definite which type it will be or do I have to take a look? If the only way to tell is from looking, does anyone have a couple of pics so I can tell without removing a wheel?

Thanks

Steve

Possibly, dont recall.....the only front caliper and disc setup that was different was pre 97 2.0's!

So if some factor is trying to give you the run round, tell em they dont know what they are talking about  ;D ;D

Fairly obvious but, vented discs are wider than solid ones and hence require a larger caliper  :y

Obvious to most .... but not to all  ;). We've had 2 instances of solid discs fitted into vented calipers without it being noticed till there was a fluid leak  ;)  ;)  ;)
