Title: Dose any 1 know how this could happen
Post by: rustym95 on 07 October 2009, 21:24:45
I have had four new sensor fitted, cam, crank, MAF, and throttle, it was all fixed and now it has come back, get 19,21,56,73,92, (Idle air control Voltage high) could not see anthing wrong with it, these are not cheap but all go at same time acording to ECU, it says that there is an electrical fault, as all of these have 1 wire in common, I cheacked them, all out b4 putting them in so i would know they were alright, they are still saying the same reading, would it be a wire or will I have to rewipe ECU again. thanks

Genuine Vx or pattern parts?

I had a genuine Vx crank sensor that packed up within a couple of months :(

The only other wire in common is the DIS pack, and have a spare one of them, could it be causing the problem?

Must be a problem with the brown 2.5mm earth that goes onto pin 19 of the ECU and connects to all of the cable screens for the sensors you mention.

hi i did what you said and it was fine so have taken all the wiring out and tested it (4hrs with a few tea breaks) they were fine, so put back together. run engine still same, so tested cam sensor under load, (it was shorting out) tested it when not under load, was fine, put old cam sensor in to see what would happen, only 1 fault cam sensor, so going to get another cam sensor, seem's it was making all the faults come up. well another £17 to pay out on a new. thanks for your help.
