Two possibles, IME.
1. blocked scuttle drain under pollen filter leaking into cabin, but car would need to be parked on a slope for it to run into the back.
2.Or rear passenger side door leaking, either the door seal, or the door membrane, behind the door card, has come adrift allowing water in under the door card.

cheers guys. don't know abuot the drink only got car on friday, but a good possibility, nice 1! have checked around the carpet all other areas dry!!!
but we live in the rain capital of the uk so if it is leak i'll find it no doubt ! >:(

my rear passenger well is always damp too, scuttle is clear, front passenger well is fine and dry as a bone.
I suspect a door seal or something, but i have just lived with it. I don't sit in the back ;D

Has the car had a recent valet, if so sounds like it hasnt been dried out properly.
-
his may sound daft, but is the rear window closed fully, or is there evidence of water running down the inside of the window? :)
-
Hi where the roof slopes above the quarter panel and ends at the door, water should drain towards the boot ridges. If the is blocked or rusted through water will enter into rear cabin.

thanx 4 the info every1. i'll check them out :y

Good news, but still worth keeping an eye on especially through varying weather conditions.
