Title: HBV?

My mates Jan 2000 registered 2.5 CDX (our old one) has recently started losing water.
His description on the phone is "when looking at the car from the front, he can see steam coming from the back of the engine on the right hand side" (passenger side of the car).

I have tried a search, but all that happened was the site ground to a halt.
I have a vague recollection that this is roughly where the HBV is located, is that so?

Any other pointers appreciated.

HBV is on the drivers side mate.

Passenger side - could be coming from the valley, cooler, stat, bridge, etc.

Seen it be head gasket in a few instances, too  :-[

or the HBV is spraying it over that side. Obviously "somebody" needs to get in there and have a look!   ::)
