Title: sump gasket 2.0 ecotec

is there any guides anyone has used to change the sump gasket on a 2.0 ecotec omega mine apears to be leaking it seams to be in two parts lower and upper and is there a gasket set or is it just sealant could i take this on myself as i am not too bad with the spanners ;) :o

forgot to mention its leaking from the top of the 2

Hi mine is the same, its a lot hard being in 2 bits, have to lift the engine up so can undo the 4 bolts, single are easier, you have to disconnet the cluth housing, and the the engine mount, lift engine up about 5inc's then can undo the bolts, take two to put back as one is lowering the engine and other to push it back into place, i had mine done at garage so was there when they did it only tuck them about half hour, £45 :y oh and the back sump plate overlaps the front plate so back has to come off first.
