With no Coil Pack attached and no plugs in the block... Will this cause the ECU to Throw up 5,000,000 faults and cause any problems?
I have oil in the plug wells so off to replace the rocker cover, its been suggested to me to Spin the engine to make sure that any oil in that might drip into the cylinder is ejected, as it could increase the compression if any drips in and cause anything to go bang.. :-/

Syringe and tube or plenty of paper roll :y

If you can't get all the oil out with syringe and kitchen roll (or if you want to spin the engine to prime the oil pump)
My preference is to use one of these http://www.toolsdirect2you.co.uk/uploads/html/Sealey_Remote_Starter_Switch_1427_1.htm
It is just a switch with two crocodile clips on the end of the leads.
Disconnect the wire from the ignition switch on the back of the starter motor and use the remote starter switch to trigger the starter motor.
Make sure the gearbox is in neutral and the ignition is OFF before turning the engine over.
