I booked in to have the oil changed and the auto box topped up. 7500 miles on the oil and the box is slipping when abused so time to do it. Also getting the brake fluid flushed, hopefully that will improve the brakes. They have always been really soft on the first shove, and rock hard on the second. To the point where I've had a bit of a scare a few times. We'll see.
They're not going to be silly and impound my car b/c the check engine light is on are they?

It's fine unless you're really pushing it then it slips a bit. Not worried about the added wear yet. If it doesn't get better then will rebuild a scrappie box and swap next spring/summer.
