What happened to your old pad wear sensor(s)? You should be able to transfer them to your new brake pads if you are careful.

Don't try to pull them off they will break. Mount the pad in a vice and use a punch to drive the pin out of the spring in the edge of the pad.

All pads come minus sensor wires, they are NOT inbuilt like some car manufacturers. The sensor is a seperate item that clips to the butterfly shaped anti-rattle spring. Make sure you buy the correct sensors though.

As a quick short term fix to turn off MID warning, cut end off sensor wires and join the 2 wires together.

would not cut them off if they are ok, would undo the wire joint and put a pin across and tape it up, until you get new brake pads thats if the sensors are ok.

Err, think they meant cut the old sensor and join the wires, not the car loom.

Read above mate, you buy the sensors SEPERATELY from the pads.
In fact, there is nothing to stop you buying the sensors right now and fitting them to the new pads you already have in place.

PS
If you buy from Camberley Auto Factors, they will do you a PAIR of sensors for the same price that Vx charge the TC holders for ONE sensor (it's only a piece of wire).
