No, there's only 2 but i'm not sure which ones they are, Tesco's which I think is O2 are one. You may also need an adapter to make the card fit as the CCRT700 which you have is designed for the full size sim.

Only work with O2 & Voda (Tesco is MVNO of O2)

I think the original big two companies (Vodaphone & Cellnet/O2) got to use GSM900 and then the newcomers (121/TMobile & Orange) got GSM1800.

I think the phone in the Omega is just GSM900 (ie the origiinal band used for GSM mobile phones).

Doesn't 3 fall back to GSM on the O2 network if they cannot find a 3G signal?

You might get lucky with a 3 sim card (though more likely that the Vauxhall phone will not recognise it at all)

you can force it to O2/Voda on a phone, not sure how configurable the Vx units are.

I love the phone in the Omega, proper top of the range 90s technology! I've got an O2 sim in mine. Don't get to use it much because my work-issue mobile bluetooths to my work-issue satnav. It's just one of those things that's nice to have, like the Trafficmaster lady!

used to have one meself...i used an o2 sim in mine ..worked perfect...the reason it only takes certain sim cards is that when you buy a sim card it is attached to a credit card sized "holder" its this that you insert into that slot.DO NOT REMOVE THE SIM FROM ITS HOLDER ...the position of the sim in the holder corresponds to where it connects in that slot...o2 and one other are at the top right of the holder, orange and co are in the centre and wont connect to the terminals in the phone, hope this helped..

if you need to take it out to top it up, take sim from holder and put into mobile, to get it back into the car fone...i used a ticket from a carpark machine....put this under the sim holder so the sim doesnt fall through..push both into carfone.when the sim and holder are in a little slide carpark ticket from underneath..sim card holder will take the sim on in

good point just that some of them when you top up you have to use the hash key at the end of the code

I've got a Lebara sim in mine, as it's a basic 10p a minute whether you call landline or mobile in the UK (£5 gets you 50 minutes) although they are very cheap for international calls. Mind they have stopped doing the free Lebara to Lebara calls unless you top up £5 a month (which I don't). I'll have to find out who's cheapest now.

Vodafone definately work, and they do a friends and family thing so for £7 a month you can have 6 (Vodafone) numbers that call call each other for free (The car was mobile 7 so didn't get the free calls, hence the Lebara sim).
