I think the manufacturers figure is something close to that.Personally I will believe it when I see it. ;)

Auto is worse than manual, around 9.5. Manual is around 8.5, I had both, and manual was faster and harder but not so comfortable, furthermore average fuel consumption was better and behaved like an animal compared with the auto.
I have auto 3 litre now and I'm planning to build it to manual...

i have timed me 2.5 auto migger-1994-and that was 10s to 60mph with vaux saying 9.5s,  so i would have thought the 3.0 mv6 would have been quicker

Auto 8.5 and Manual 8.0.....and they achieve this quite easily
