Title: Auto box jumping

My auto box has started to jump in 1st, any ideas?

The usual advice is to check the ATF. Needs checking with engine running apparently.

A Carlton estate I used to have had a leak on the auto box, it used to jump and jerk when the fluid dropped too low, once topped up it was fine again.

Checked the ATF today, was very low, topped up and guess what? BRILL again, Well happy, thanks guys  :y :y :y :y :y :y :y :y :y :y :y :y :y

probably deserves a complete atf change :)

Was dry as a bone underneath, I reckon it has never been checked before. I did consider that.

Will do that next service (in the spring) meanwhile I'll keep an eye on it  :y
