Wheels are very wrong, looks nice enough apart from that
-
Are they the incorrect wheels Jimbob ? Does the rest seem OK....price etc... ?
-
yes, old prefacelift wheels iirc, should be 17's on that.
very hard to see condition, description tells you nothing, seems a reasonable price, worth a look, can keep an eye out for correct wheels here if they bother you.

That does look a nice car and at a good price too :y
-
looks nice, think its in the age range where the 2.6's had a stem seal issue, so may smoke a little.
-
of the 2, personally i'd prefer the MV6...then change the wheels.
but each to their own.

Guys.....its a minefield and my head is spinning....I have a wanted ad in the for sale section and Ive been on ebay and autotrader for 2 days and have 3 lined up tomorrow but they vary soooooo much :o
I wanted to buy Josh's off the for sale section but we just could get together to suit etc....
I'm hoping to own before end of the weekend....
Ive even been offered a mint 03 CDX 2.2 89k miles silver FSH @ £1700 but think it may be underpowered :'(
-
I had those wheels on an N reg CD
-
Yep, those wheels are not right, the car looks great, but you have to wonder why anyone would want to put those wheels on that car!
Alarm bells for me.

Go and drive a few cars first:-depends what you want out of it. I was put off buying a 2.2 until I drove mine. It's no slouch, so depends what you are used to....
Good luck :y

True but there may be a genuine reason for the old wheels....
What if he sold the 17s to raise a bit of cash that he may have needed for example.....
:y

To be honest, I cannot think of one genuine reason to swap wheels.
