possibly a copy disc? Or cd'r s played in the nav slot. Its having trouble reading it i would guess.
May need a new laser if the disc is good.
But more experienced members will be along no doubt.

Mine does that sometimes, most often when cold/damp in the air.  Genuine 2008 series disc, not a copy, and a 2015 radio setup.  Happens only when I start the car, not once started, if that makes sense.

Dunno.  Will watch the thread with interest.....   :)

Yeah, mine did that once, but only when i bought the disc from the warm house and put it directly in the nav slot when the car was freezing cold, looked at the disc face and there was condensation on it. All fine once the temps settled, again presumed its was having reading issues....

mine did this a lot up to 2004 - Siemens and VX finally agreed to change the whole unit - has not done it since. I used to think it was the damp also.

Interestingly VX said there was no fault and it was not until I got Siemens to speak to VX that we got to the bottom of it.

I have not checked refurb costs recently on German ebay - but that may be an option.

Mine also does it, usually damp / cold days, and only usually once then seems OK. Previous postings have suggested the laser is marginal so I'm hoping it gets no worse. having said that, its been doing it for a year or two now without getting worse, so fingers crossed.

It ejects if its unable to read it.

This can be dirty/scratched disk, tired laser (common on this unit, particularly if its played a few CDRs in its time), or condensation on the laser/disk.

Mine does it occasionally... I put it down to the temperature changes (as it's in the boot) and condensation

Hi, might also be the motor in the single slot, which if on the way out will also eject the cd. Had this on mine, changed the laser (got a site link somewhere will did out) then put it all back to gether - still the same would attempt to read then pop the disc out. I had another ncdc unit (2013), which I stripped the motor out and swapped that - now it works fine. Not an easy way to test if this is the case apart from stripping the unit down getting the motor out and check to see if it moves ok - mine was stuck - duff bearing).

I used to have this problem with a NCDC2013 and also put it down to the weather till it keep ejecting any disk. Used a CD lens cleaner in the slot and no probs for the last couple of years :y
