Title: Possible oil level sensor failure again
Post by: Omegadoha, Desert Member on 08 November 2009, 03:48:41
I had my oil level sensor changed in March earlier this year. Yesterday the 'check oil level' warning came on. I checked the level of the oil and all the teeth on the dipstick were immersed in oil. Is it possible that the oil level sensor has failed again. The warning came on twice and was on briefly both times.

I think if I was genuinely low on oil the warning would stay on a lot longer. As a precaution I have bought some oil but am reluctnat to use it as I don't want to overload it.

It was QR 10 for a litre, which is about 1.66.
