Title: head light range sensor
Post by: SP_3.2 on 07 November 2009, 10:28:53
Could anyone tell me where the headlight range sensor is and the conector for it is . Was thinking it was on one of the wishbones may need to check the conection on it.

Thanks

Steve

For the self-levelling there are 2... Both nearside front and rear wishbones :y

Interesting development on my 3.2

I have for say 4 years had an issue with the Headlamp Range Warning Light - the motors and level are conifrmed all working - and has been checked several times. I now just ignore it - the problem can last for a day or a couple of days and then disappear or confine itself to start up - irrespective of weather conditions.

2 days ago for another reason disconnected wiring loom from rear parking sensors - so far no head lamp range warning light at all and yet earlier in the week had been flashing up. Will keep under observation

Can you make it to the Camberley meet this weekend? If so, we can put the tech 2 on it and compare the readings with other cars. I have an odd issue with mine. No warnings but it spuriously raises the beam, much to the annoyance of oncoming traffic. :-[

Thanks Kevin - unfortunately I am in Cambridge and Manchester from Friday morning through to Sunday evening so will not be at the meet.

Still no reappearance of headlight range warning light whilst parking sensors are still disconnected.
