Should be ABS ECU only mate, if you're lucky could be a dirty sensor but 99% of the time it's the ECU.

Just the ABS ECU which is fastened to th epump. It needs to come off a similar car though, unless you get your 'new' ECU Tech II'd to your car.  :y  :y  :y  :y
From all accounts it's a PITA to remove.  :-?

Worth checking the sensor first - easier and cheaper to replace.

If it's the pump module, not as bad as some folk make out, but a bit fiddley and IIRC, needs to talk to Tech 2 after it's been installed.

Someone repairs them on an exchange basis on ebay, but I don't know how good they are.

Good luck!!!

Sure is well, the bottom screw is the hardest (took me about 3 hours to get that ba*tard out) but didn't have the correct tools with me at the time so my fault really. Better than paying Vx's bills anyway  ;D

I have played with the plug and can get the lights to turn off only when the engine compartment is cold but when warmed up the lights come back on.Would anyone have any idea what the part number would be so i can be on the look out for one.

You could always conact BBA-Reman .... I had the ECU on my old 2.5 mig repaired by them and was very, very happy with the result. 'Twas a few years back now so it's probably more than the £130 it cost then .. but that included a 2 year warranty and courier delivery. Bit was sent to them on Monday, phone call Wednesday to say it had been checked and the faults found were repairable, delivered back on the Friday.

Got to be worth a phone call .. :)
