Bit of isopon and it'll be good as new mate :) ;)
-
It will affect is operation as that will be an air leak!
I would just get another, they are not exactly prone to failure!
-
Does Isopon stick to cast aluminium - won't it fall off with the vibration after a while?
PITA to weld, so best go for another one.
-
Not much point in trying to repair it, you are going to have an air leak and it will run like a dog!
-
thats what i thought, just wanted to be sure before i tried to sell it. in the bin it goes then

You should be recycling your ally! ;) ;)
A new one shoud be easy to get hold of, but stuff like this (http://uk.rs-online.com/web/search/searchBrowseAction.html?method=getProduct&R=0174640) will stick like the proverbial to a blanket, even under water if need be :y. It fixed my petrol tank on another car

you can have it welded at most garages, good as new and dont cost alot.
