Title: corsa vxr alloys
Post by: i260 on 14 November 2009, 22:36:15
hey all,

following my continued search for a coolwheel for my mig what do folks think about the corsa vxr 17s or 18s with some spacers. Strangely the 17s look really fab with the 5 spoke snowflake design, but will they reallyt look right unless I put some massive spacers on them?

I have just seen some 18s on ebay and the fitment is 7.5x18 et47 so are we looking at a 10mm spacer and longer studs?

cheers :y

17" Snowflakes look too small in the Omega arches, you need 19's

mmm? - mv6's and elites look ok on 17's!

yes, if you didn't change the tyres to the correct size they would look daft but I think that goes without saying (?)!

19's are either stoopid money or cracked!

Seen an Omega on 17's flakes, trouble is, they are a 'look at me' type alloy, where as standard Vx ones are quite understated.

The agressive looks of the snowflakes warrent the 19's in my opinion.

wouldn't call the snowflake an agressive design  :-?

anyways - as usual the only reply I have got is somebody saying "oooo, wouldn't do that.." when I asked 'is it possible / does it fit'.

Anybody want to reply to the question posed?

Omega et is 35 - 38 so you will have issues there, but I believe that the OCD is the same. New shape Vectra VXR are the same pcd and offset so they would be a safer choice

I personally don't like 19's, not enough rubber, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder, no doubt you would also get a harder ride with 19’s, but then I’m happy with my bog standard CDX alloys

Modification is all about personal expression, if you think they will look good then that's all that matters
