Righty....I'm thinking of attempting to clean the breather system and ICV on my 2.5 V6 this weekend if it doesn't rain. I've taken a look at the maintenance guides and there seems to be one for breathers of a V6 and one for breather jets and ICV of a 2L.
Is the cleaning of the ICV and jet the same on a 2L as the V6 and will I find them? (bearing in mind I'm a bit of a wolly :P)

ICV on passenger side of engine. Soak in carb cleaner, flush crap out and lightly oil (3 in 1 best) refit. You may have to do this a couple of times!

Doesn't carb cleaner come in a spray? Should I soak it to death and leave it overnight?

carb cleaner by nature evaporates quickly. A couple of good half hour baths should see it right. Try it on the car and repeat until it behaves.

I'm with you Neil, I've only found carb Cleaner in a spray so far, yet keep hearing people talk about leaving parts to soak in it. Anybody know of a good source for non spray Carb Cleaner?

Spray a load of carb cleaner into ICV and leave it to soak :y
