Title: Auto fluid cooler
Post by: footloose on 19 November 2009, 16:28:11
Hi,  Can anyone on here tell me how to flush out the aut fluid cooler in the rad. I suspect a partial restriction and i would hate to blow the oil seal.
Would be gratefull for any advice. :( :(

no real easy way, what makes you think there is a restriction?

Because there seems to be a lot heat coming out from the aut box area even after a short run. Also there is a very small boble of fluid on two bolts on some kind of cross member at the rear of the auto box.

The exhausts run past autobox so heat is normal, the rear cross member you mention sounds like the rear support bracket, no liquid moves there.

Best way would be to take the rad out, and push some fluid through
