Hello everyone, how much should i be paying for a full set of brake discs and pads for my Y plate 2.6 Omega. Can anyone recommend a place to purchase them also?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Around the £90 mark + vat for the front from VX with a trade card. Use genuine parts only.
-
Thank you
I don't have a trade card, any pointers to where I can purchase the original parts online for reasonable cost?
-
Where are you? Maybe someone local has a TC ;) :y
-
Post up your location someone near you may have trade, otherwise join autobahnstomers to get trade prices :)
Unless your going to blizt the track, GM discs and Pads offer the best value for money, and last very well.

I'm in ilford, essex, God bless this forum!!!

Worth updating your profile with your location, maybe some near you has trade

Try autovaux.co.uk i dont think they are genuine ones as a package (which include discs and pads together) however if you ask they should be able to get some genuine ones for you

Do you want rear discs as well? If so make sure they know if they are ventilated or not, £90 sounds cheap for 4 discs and pads, they wanted over £40 for the back pads when I bought them, although that was with VAT and no TC

I paid £84 (its now £90) that gets you 2 x front discs and 2 sets of front pads.
Rear pads are £10 for the pair on TC, very unlikey you need to replace the rear disc. I have done 45k on my rear pads still got loads of meat on them
-
Front discs about £120 as a pair, as a kit with pads £85 + VAT
Join ABS then get them next weekend
Rears are about £100 a pair plus pads - I may be changing mine early in the new year

i'm after a full set, front and rear.

Join ABS and look at spending about £200 or a lot more if you do not

£85 for front discs and pads at Vauxhalls for my MV6 using trade card.... everyone should join the Autobahnstormers to get the trade card...

link below for abs card. Its 20 quid and will arrive quickly once you fill in the form and send it off. It will pay for itself first time you use it.
Once you have the card buy genuine only. It is the best and cheapest way to get discs that last. Pattern may very well be cheaper but do not last long is seems.
Fronts are all vented and the cheapest way is to get the front axle kit(2 discs and 4 pads) which come with "trade club" pads.
Rear dont come in a kit. Buy seperate according to what your car has.
If your feeling flush and want pads with better feel go for "oe" pads all round. £70 just for the front set though.
Or more expensive still are the likes of Ebc from a motor factors or online.
Edit to add, if you must shop on line pm Andyc on here. Parts man at a dealer with mail order. :-)
As said, link below.

I was just thinking the same. Courier cost for those parts must be less than £20! Andyc is thoroughly recommended.
