hello omega fans.i'm an omega fan tho a disgruntled and frustrated one.having issues with my 2.5td auto if anyone can help as i've just thrown 500notes at my gearbox and its still not right.infact i don't even think its the gearbox now.desperate for help as even vauxhall couldn't find a fault.in a nut shell my gears are jumping when de-accelerating.its got a recon box on now and it's still doing it ecen tho we know the gearbox is spot on...this may seem like a strange description but here goes anyway.its as if the kick down has got a mind of its own,or when i go over bumps in the road its like the traction is altering and it accelerates or jumps down a gear.if i'm sitting at say 50/60 and put the cruise control on it does it too, can't make its mind up which gear to be in.its as if it doesn't recognise how much pressure is being applied to the accelorator pedal, which apparantly they are electronic what ever that means.pleaseplease help thanks tommy

The accelerator is a DBW (drive by wire) system. It could be a faulty sensor somewhere in the system. Does it rev up and down smoothly? Have a go at paperclipping it to see if there are any codes (some TD's can't be paperclipped though). Instruction at the bottom of my post :y

thanks man.that could help thank you.it does rev up and down spot on like and goes up threw the gears perfectly, its once i'm at a constant speed or slowing down that it start jumping from gear to gear its as if the kick down is trying to play when i dont want it too,if that makes sense
