On my omega 3.2 special ex police car there is an electric water pump which is plumbed into the radiator it seems to just pump the water around the radiator. There is another similar pump which is attached to the drivers side inner guard and it is plumbed into the engine water system.Do I need to keep these or can I remove them.Basically I want to remove as much as possible as the engine is going into a kitcar with no aircon etc. :question

Winter pack IIRC, circulates the coolant around the cooling system so that the heater matrix is kept warm to heat the cabin with the engine off.

OK to remove

Thanks for that info ,I won't be needing that then so it's in the bin it goes. :y

Is there any other parts that I can remove i've never worked on a Vauxhall before i'm into Jap roadsters.Having dismantled most of the Omega i'm considering getting an estate as our family car.It would have to be an MV6 with a gas conversion.

Presumably if its going in kit car, you wouldn't use any of Omega's cooling system anyway - just the mechanicals of engine? Presumably using a 3rd party injection system as well?

The plan at the minute is to use the Omega Ecu and wiring with a loom made to use only what I need to use.I have a mate who is an excellent autospark so he's going to make up the loom for me.
