Title: handbrake gaitor

Bought a new leather gaitor cover off ebay. The old cover was fitted down with shallow staple pins into the plastic. Anyone know whether a heavy duty staple gun would do the job or can you use glue.

When I changed my gearstick gaitor it was held on with similiar staples.  I just shoved them back into the same holes and they seem to have held fine for me.
