Post by: Selseybill on 27 November 2009, 17:37:08
I changed my rear shocked about 6 months ago but now when the car is moving or i push down on the boot the shocks start to squeak .If i get someone to push the back down i can feel the noise thought the rear turrets.
The shocks were not cheap ones but up rated Janspeed items

If it's any good the squeaking noise sounds like a rubber rubbing sound.

Remove the top shock mounts and apply some silicon lube around the contact points before re-fitting

I'll get my son to try that next week.
Hand brake serviced and checked before i went away,it made the squeaking before this was done.

Could it be the spring/s creaking on the rubber mounts :-/.
