On my 2000 2.5 V6 facelift, When you switch the climate on, the fan(s) at the front seem to race at full speed - even when started from cold.
I don't think this is normal - any particular cause, such as iffy temp sensor?
-
Are they both running flat out? Could be that one is siezed because they run in series.
Failing that, would have to have a look at the schematic but could be a temp / pressure switch.

Yep, they are going hell for leather, even when engine stone cold.... sounds like an aeroplane :D

And with the aircon off?

With the climate off (or on "eco") they don't operate...

Hmmm...so they are working as they should...just sounds like the slower speed might not be working
-
how is that corrected? :y

To stop them from coming on you could pop the fuse/s out until you sort the problem so that the engine will warm up normally :).
