my vec gives me 40mpg round town and 50 on a run if i drive nice lol ....

whats do the omega's return ?
is there anything to watch out for when buying ?

also does anyone know how much the lad wants for the 03 plate in the forsale section that he's had nothing but trouble with?

For questions on the cars in forsale section, reply to that thread  ;)

Omega MPG varies a great deal, combination of type of run, manual, auto, or the huge range of engines.

If your looking to keep economy, you will need to go for the later 2.2 DTi's or late 2.5 BMW TD's

Think the 2.2 DTI's get about 45mpg on average.

Other option is V6 + LPG

I get high 30's round town - had 97,000 trouble free miles but things starting to play up recently.  Just change oil and filter regularly and should be ok

Mine and Markseth's, (both manual-boxed '99 2.5TDs), return 33mpg around here.
We're content with this, given the cars' mass and the terrain.

Due to lowish annual mileages, and a lot of shortish hops, they get engine oil/filter-changes every 2500 miles.
