Post by: batista on 23 October 2009, 19:37:36
i have codes 0700 saying transmission control system (MIL request) and a code 0727 saying engine speed input circuit no signal..now ive changed the camshaft sensor for a genuine vauxhall one cost of £75 from vauxhall,,but the eml stays on with these codes still there,,anyone know how to get rid of these codes,,would be most appreciated, :'(

One member on here reckoned that you could clear stored codes by turning the ignition on and off 25 to 30 times, the theory being that some codes get cleared after that many clean starts. Didn't work for me, but may be worth a try.

Other than that there are cheap code readers available on ebay that can clear codes. A mate cleared mine with a Volkswagen one. HTH

I can't find both of these codes on the list.
I can find .....
P0700   MIL request from Transmission Control (TC) Modul
 but not 0720  :(

Anyway, isn't there stil afault on the car if the EML is still on. AFAIA it's only the airbag light that needs restting.  :-?  :y

Codes refer to the gearbox changing cam sensor won`t cure them. Any problems with the box operation :question
