I got new front brake pads three weeks ago and realised that the brake pad warning was still on screen as I went to drive away from the garage. I stopped and asked the mechanic if he had re-set the warning as I was assured the pads would come complete with sensors. Turned out the pads were ordered without sensors??? The brakes felt worse than before for at least 2/3 days. They seem OK now but WTF? Does this all sound OK? :-[

Did you pay for sensors? If so i would be asking for some money back.
New pads need time to 'bed in' so you have to take it easy for a few miles, 2 - 3 days depends how far you go :y

Pads don't just need "bedding in" .. they need to be "BEDDED IN" and correctly ...
Have a read here ... explains it all quite well IMHO ...

.....
Turned out the pads were ordered without sensors??? .....
All pads come without sensors, sensors are a seperate item that are fitted to the spring clip on the pads. The warning message appears when the plastic clip wears through and the circuit is broken. New sensors will cure the warning, it doesn't require to be 'reset' ....... or you can chop the remnants off, bare back some insulation and short the 2 wires together. ::) That will sort the light/message out! :y :y
