I was on the motorway this afternoon and went to overtake a volvo and the miggy started to run a bit rough and struggle...Do you reckon it might be the coil pack and ht leads on the way out? Any idea how much they are? thanx folks.... :y

do a paperclip test first off, then check the condition of the plugs and see if any oil in the wells
-
Hope it aint the crank sensor again though ;D ;D ;D :o

Look for any other fault codes other than dis pack as a faulty one will not show a code

Assuming a genuine one was used then its unlikely, if some cheap aftermarket part was used, its quite possible

Well i managed to do the paperclip test and guess what??? No codes being thrown up not even cranksensor....So as long as it dont get anyworse i`ll live with it till payday and then hunt for a dis pack and new ht`s and plugs i think.....Heres to crossed fingers and toes and other things that can be crossed.... ;D ;D :o

Never seen that yet....

According to the some posts in general questions on of the admins said that actually air or fuel filter can make a big difference. Not sure which one though

It can restrict the fuel flow, and hold back revs, but its slight. When i changed mine, it reved a lot more 'freely' easily getting towards the red line.
I can't see it cutting out :-/
My old fuel filter was very old AND mounted the wrong way! :o
I'd be checking the condition of the plugs, and oil in the wells as stated previously

sorry to hear of your problems :(,on the last service i had changed ,the air filter ,fuel filter , spark plugs , also all gasket rings etc with vauxhall parts , i think i was told that the ht leads would need changeing on next service
-
Dont worry bout it graham it aint your fault mate... Things wear out as time goes on,i`m happy with the miggy i forgot what a pleasure these cars are to drive and you put a lot of effort into this motor its just 1 of those things :y :y

When I changed my plugs there was some oil around them & the bottom of the coil pack, whats that all about.
The old plugs came out VERY easy but could not torque my new ones up to18foot/pounds, got scared! :-?
