For all of you with DBW. Problem I`ve been having past two days. I go to pull away and there is no revs above idle. Release the pedal and press it again quick full revs are there. No eml on. Also happens if I decelerate then press the pedal again, have to release then quick press. As you can imagine, not ideal especially when pulling out from a junction. Any ideas please chaps I know absolutely zilch about the DBW set up. :-/ :-/

take the intake off to the throttle body and make sure the butterfly is working as it should.
The DBW gubbins itself is bullet proof, so its either the butterfly or something like a cam sensor putting it random limp modes

If it`s the butterfly not working properly what do I check Tunnie. As for the cam sensor or other putting into limp surely the EML would at least flicker/flash would it not. :-/

Not always, my cam sensor when it was failing would sometimes not light it up.
Take the plastic throttle body off, and poke the butterfly, see how well it moves, and if it feels sticky at any point, it should be stiff to move, but not impossible, soak in WD, and clean as per AA's guide :y

Cheers Tunnie will give it a go. If not I shall be back :)

Ideally needs a live data read to check throttle and butterfly position matches.
Seen a few V6s with knackered butterflies. Expensive part :(
Worth cleaning them, but if its that far gone, its probably telling you to replace it :(

Have you tried looking for codes? Quick pedal test might reveal something?
