Hi All and happy New Year.
Had the car a few weeks now. Had to change the cam sensor, which I found out all about reading this forum, and all seems ok with it now.
However, just been up the motorway with it for a bit of a run and there is a vibration through the body or more of a 'thrum' really. It comes in at about 60mph and you can feel it through the gear selector lever and not the steering.
So, I am thinking maybe rear wheels need balancing (cheap tyres on at the moment) or propshaft.
It sticks out like a sore thumb and is a shame as the ride is very classy otherwise.
Love this car to bits, Omegas are a well kept secret!
Anybody had anything similar on their chariot?

Its never easy to pin point something like that al,but personally i would start with the obvious, such as engine/transmission mount, which in my opinion would explain why can feel it through the lever.Usually you would feel it through the steering if it were wheel balance or suspension componants. :y

Thanks for reply Mark.
Hope its not wheel bearings on the rear, as I have read on here they are not nice to do, dont think it is as I think they would be making noise.
As you say, check the mountings first.

would look at the propshaft rubber, and check the balance weight as well.

lump or bulge in rear tyre? buckled wheel? Try a 5 stud, as opposed to a cone balancer, more accurate. Simple stuff first.... ;)

eliminate the wheel/tyre by sticking the spare on one corner at a time then testing. Assumes your spare is ok of course !

Thanks for replies.
May well be the rear tyres or wheels or one of them. I filled it up with petrol today and it is much better. Something is out of whack at the back.
Probably tyres, as I said, they are cheap ones. Never heard of them before.
Will substitute with the spare to prove the fault, as mentioned by Bigdods and see where it takes me.
Thanks all.
