How much effect on the air con will a dirty pollen/cabin filter have , will affect the temp inside.
-
it won't have any effect on temp thats controlled by the heater matrix, failing/old ones will cause car to steam up inside, and smell a bit odd
-
Just as well i put new one in with the recent service although the car still steams up inside for some reason. I'd read somewhere about the scuttle drain holes if blocked can contribute to steamed up windows?
-
True. The pollen filter is the means for air to enter the cabin and the vents in the rear are the means for it to escape. Check the vents in the boot/estate area are free of obstruction. :y
-
scuttle drain (passenger side) if blocked will fill up and kill your fan controller, combination of naggered pollen filter and the rear boot vent blocked will make it steam up. Check the vent area is clear, drivers side first aid compartment in saloons, the vents at the bottom should be clear and not obstructed

I've got to admit , this is an excellant site with so many enthusiastic omega owners out there. Will check all the drain holes when this white stuff goes.
thanks for the replies everyone
