Title: Update on the squeaky pulley
Post by: johnnycboy on 03 January 2010, 12:24:23
Hi guys/gulls

Furher to my lift home on the back of a low loader on xmas day, eventually got round to pulling the front end out to investigate.  Dropped the alternator belt off and noise was still there, thought the worst (looking like tensioner on timing belt).  Got my trusty driver out to have a listen closer and by sheer luck touched the pipe from the egr to manifold and lo and behold noise stopped.  Few extra turns on the already tight union nut and the noise has stopped (hooray) :y.  Bloody cold out there though to be working though.  Give the missues her due she had a go at screwing bits and pieces up :-X

Certainly was a nice result.  Cars ready to serve it's master once again.  I'm at last happy at least for today anyway ::)
