Title: Removing brake switch
Post by: RobG on 04 January 2010, 13:02:41
Right, I`ve slid the outer sleeve away from the switch body. Where are the tangs to push to remove the thing. 12 o/c & 6 o/c
from the driver`s seat or 3 o/c & 9 o/c :-? >:(
And what do you use to push `em both at the same time :question

I see you are also looking at the cruise fitting guide.   :y

There are tangs on either side, press both together to remove.  Cant remember what position of the clock they will be though....

Blonde moment. Do I press at the "body" side of the switch or the plunger side?

Make sure the red plastic part is out, as opposed to in, I think, then press both parts of the side at the same time.  I think I pressed one and then angled the switch a little bit to keept it depressed whilst I did the other side, if that makes sense?

Im far too big to fit under there in any reasonable position, hence attempting the push one, and pull slightly to then try and do the other, but failed miserable and pulled the bugger out.

new ones gone in much more easily though  :y
