are the differences between elite and mv6 purely trim level, or are gear ratios, chassis settings etc set up different? Ray.

do a search, its been done to death.
Basically, Elite has all the toys, and soft suspension.
MV6, is much lower in terms of kit and toys, but has sportier suspension and seats.
Engine, gearboxes are the same

Taking a 2002 or 2003 model for reference. MV6 only has the 2.6 or 3.2 engine. Elite has those plus the 2.2 DTI engine.
Starting from the front. MV6 has different style front bumper. Both models have Xenon headlights with washers. Both have 17'' alloys. Interior, only 3.2 Elite has leather as standard. MV6 has recaro front seats. Walnut wood trim on Elite, alu look on MV6. Cruise standard on Elite, option on MV6. Sunroof on Elite standard, elec memory seats, rear heated seats. MV6 suspension is stiffer then that of Elite. Both have rear boot spoiler. There are many other differences, but those are the basics.

Maybe this will help?
I run an Elite and as tunnie says it has all the bells and whistles but did have relatively soft suspension. I changed the spings and there was no difference made at all. I thought about it and remembered that donkeys years ago I stiffened the suspension on a Triumph Herald Vitesse after taking advice form a sports club by fitting Suspension assisting DONUTS all round.
Got them for the Elite, fitted them, guess what? They worked their magic and I have stiffer suspension and it handles a lot better too. They are sold apparently for helping the springs when towing trailers.
It passes the test every year with them fitted too, so no worries there!
I can let you have the sellers details if you want.
